Reporting and Filing a Death Claim

At American Equity, we understand the hardship of losing a loved one. One of the most important aspects of our work is to extend a helping hand to the friends and family members of contract owners who have passed. Please see instructions below to report a death online or file a death claim with a representative.

Please be prepared to provide the following information:

  • Full Name of the Deceased
  • Annuity Contract Number(s) or deceased policyholder’s Social Security number
  • Date of Death
