American Equity will not charge you for Text Alerts, however, please keep in mind that message and data rates may apply and message frequency may vary. You should check with your mobile service provider for applicable data rates. You will be responsible for all charges made by the network provider for your mobile and you should be aware of all network charges which may include higher charges should you receive a Text Notification when traveling abroad. U.S mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. American Equity has no control over any charges made by the network provider for your mobile telephone.

Text and Email Notifications are confidential (and all attachments to such e-mails are confidential) and are to be reviewed and/or disclosed to only the individual or entity to whom they are addressed and intended. By accepting and reviewing Text and/or Email Notifications provided by American Equity, you agree to indemnify and hold Eagle Life harmless against any and all claims, losses, liabilities, or expenses, including attorney's fees that may be incurred as a result of the unauthorized use or disclosure of confidential information due to your acts or omissions. American Equity shall have no liability if you are unable to receive Text or Email Notifications because of the failure of any machine, data processing system or transmission link. We have no liability where others are able to read your Text or Email Notifications. If additional terms are provided in connection with any specific SMS text or email message sign-ups, such terms shall also apply. We reserve the right to withdraw Text or Email Notifications at any time and shall have no liability to you if we do withdraw this. Where possible we will give you prior notice of such withdrawal.
