Summary:Responsible for overseeing and performing portfolio management and trading responsibilities for the corporate bond portfolio for American Equity. Assists in overseeing research function that monitors credit quality of corporate issuers within corporate bond portfolio. Manages portfolios within framework of investment policy and strategy for the company. Will share the responsibility of managing a multibillion dollar corporate bond portfolio to meet company’s asset/liability requirements.
Qualifications: Master’s degree (M.A.) or equivalent; at least six years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Successful candidate will have prior experience with fixed income portfolio management and a strong relative value understanding. Strong communication and interpersonal skills and solid relationships with sell-side sales, trading and syndicate desks are required. Experience in analyzing risks pertaining to credit, interest rate and structure of fixed income securities, in making daily trading decisions and experience with a fundamental, technical and relative value process as it pertains to evaluating corporate fixed income securities is important. The selected candidate will be a solid team player.
Salary:Salary commensurate with experience
